After years of abusing my body as a care provider in the medical field, and an athlete, I finally had to admit to myself that I HURT.
My upper back and neck had become so painful , I dreaded going to work, and eventually became unable to sleep due to the pain and numbness in my arms and hands. I decided there must be something wrong, and began a search for a chiropractor.
Though I have never been one to go to the doctor unless I had to , and certainly not a chiropractor, (we have all heard about “them”!) …I knew somehow, that I needed a natural treatment if possible, having met way too many patients over the years that have had back surgery and ALL of them said they regretted doing the surgery.  I have also learned over the last few years that there is a lot more to natural, holistic care treatments and foods. Having experimented with my dogs, and seen the results, it was obvious I should take care of myself in the same manner.
I was VERY fortunate to have met Dr. Warde, a chiropractic physician in Cape Coral, Fl. where I live. I searched thru the yellow pages and came upon his advertisement , and decided to call.
“The staff was very professional and friendly, and caring, they got me in right away and the best part? They take most insurances, including mine! Wow! And I got massages there also covered by insurance! How cool is that? ( Caroline is wonderful!)
Dr. Warde began by explaining what he was going to do, and why. He educates his patients, and then he helps them.
Right off , he knew I was a special case. My Xray showed damage in my neck, and I was in 3 days a week for manipulation, hydro therapy ( they have this awesome water bed table that pulses and is warm !) , and E Stim, to relax the muscles.
After several sessions I was better, but still having pain, but at least I could walk upright!!…
Dr Warde ordered an MRI, and found I had 4 bulging discs…. 2 in the cervical neck, and 2 in the Thoracic ( upper back) area. No wonder I was in pain.. And I had been ignoring this and living with the pain for ..how many years????
Doc suggested MUA. Three days in a row, twilight anesthesia, a great surgery center in Ft Myers, in and out in a few hours, back to Docs office for ice therapy, and then 10 days in a row after , of heat therapy and gentle stretching, by his wonderful therapist Tony.
Tony explains everything to you, so you understand why you hurt where you do, and explains some stretches you can do at home.
I am still undergoing my “after treatment” and am feeling great. It was amazing how well my body responded to the MUA, since I was “asleep” , I was relaxed and “pliable”, therefore the doctor was able to get the best results from my stiff old body, that otherwise might have been impossible, with my unintentional resistance while conscious.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get their life back and find their “groove” again.
Thanks to Dr Warde and his wonderful staff, I feel so much better, and my outlook on life has improved also. I am ready to go forward, and regain some of my youthful activities that I had thought were gone due to “getting older”…. Bah! Getting better!

I had my MUA in December, 2006. It was the most wonderful experience I've had. I was free from pain. I had sciatica, my back would hurt, my leg would get numb which meant I couldn't stand or walk for any length of time. I felt results after the first session! The pain and numbness was gone and I recently went to Epcot and walked the whole park and the only thing that hurt were my feet! It wasn't just my back that was taken care of but my whole body. I am able to turn just my head while driving rather than my whole body. I am able to get out of a chair and off the floor without having to push myself. I feel 20 years younger! I have now joined a gym and started working out on a regular basis. I would recommend this to anyone. As a matter of fact, I have recommended it and people I work with have had the procedure and feel wonderful.
